A Tree Full of Handmade Trimmings

I’ve been busy as a bee, working on making loads of handmade Christmas tree ornaments. The task was made easy because I used Spellbinders Christmas ornament dies and little did I know, that these products would be up to 50% off when I shared them with you!! After some time spent in front of my Big Shot, running dies and card stock through in a somewhat organized fashion, I had all of the required pieces and sat down to work. I still want to make a few more, as I haven’t gotten to use all of the dies, but this sale made me speed up this post! You can see one of the ornaments from this previous post, that I haven’t used for my tree yet.

My tip of the day…

My organizational tip for die cutting, is to have a magnetic bowl to place the dies in, but also, some recycled bowls to place the pieces in. We eat a lot of the Jimmy Dean Breakfast Bowls at my house, and the black plastic bowls they come in are very sturdy and great to wash and reuse! I have a big stack of them saved up and use them often! I also have a bunch of the Cesar Dog Food bowls, (thank you, Kim!) washed and ready! These are smaller than the breakfast bowls, so tiny parts go in these!

When I purchased these dies, I didn’t realize that I’d need them all, as some pieces get interchanged amongst the different sets. Having them sold as a big bundle is the best way to go! If you love these designs, GET THEM WHILE YOU CAN!! I have a feeling that they’ll sell out quickly.

In most cases, I used the same colors that were shown on the design pages, simply because I loved them, but it would be fun to switch things up a bit too.
