This is typically a busy week for most Americans, as we get ready for family visits and a feast with all of the trimmings. It is our day of giving thanks for our many blessings, including, but not limited to family and friends, bountiful food, our homes, jobs, freedom to worship and so much more! We are truly a blessed people!
With thankfulness in mind, I wanted to share a card that I made with all of you in mind, my blog reading friends! Thank you for following along with me, for subscribing and for sharing in my love of paper crafting! I appreciate each link click, each purchase and each comment more than you know! Sharing with you gives me a sense of direction and fulfillment!
This “thank you” card was a simple one to make and required very little in the way of supplies. I started with a vanilla panel, placing it in Spellbinder’s Pumpkin Patch 3D embossing folder and running it through my Big Shot. It was then adhered to a vanilla card base.
Next I used Spellbinder’s Autumn Sealed Sprigs Dies and an assortment of card stock, cutting out all of the different pieces. After some assembly, I moved the sprigs around on the card front until I was happy with the placement and glued them down.
The final element was to add a wax seal in a rich wine color. A gold foiling pen was used to paint the words within the circle. These are SO much fun to make and my grandkids love to help me by placing the metal stamp in the hot wax. Always one to find the best deal for my supplies, I found this starter kit which includes foiling pens and an assortment of wax melts, providing lots of color options.
The wax stamps can be purchased separately, and some of the best deals are at Spellbinders with the current Clearance & Black Friday Sales. You guys!! These sales are not to be missed! Things are flying off of the shelves, and I’m guilty of purchasing some items that were too good to pass on. ‘Tis the season… 🙂
I hope your turkey day is filled with memory making moments, a stuffed belly and a heart full of gratitude. Happy Thanksgiving!
Until next time,
~Krista
