Hello Friends!
Today I’m back with another stitching card using products from the May 2024 Spellbinders Monthly Membership Club. I did the stitching while on a recent camping trip, which gave me my daily dose of crafting! Prior to the trip, I die cut and ink blended a whole pile of Stitched Pineapples in different colors so that all I had to take with me (in addition to the pineapples) were my DMC threads, a needle, scissors and 1/4″ tape. I am pleased to say that I completed 9 of the pre-cuts while camping!
Once home and back in my craft room, I proceeded to add the pineapples to cards, pulling out many of the May 2024 club products, which all coordinate perfectly, making the creative process so quick and easy!
Putting it together
To make today’s card, I die cut the pineapple pieces and used Ranger’s Distress Oxide inks to blend the overlay portion. I used three different DMC thread colors for the stitching, starting with the lightest shade of pink at the top and ending with the darkest shade at the bottom. The flamingo was die cut using Grand Tropical Flamingos dies, cut from a peachy shade of card stock and then ink blended with Distress Oxide in Kitsch Flamingo.
For the background of the card, I used both of the May 2024 club embossing folders, Latticework and Scattered Tropics and wrapped the seam with some pink twine. The sentiment is gold foiled with the Spellbinders Glimmer Machine, using a foiling die that was from a free set because I bought the Club Caboodle, which means I got everything offered…or “the whole caboodle”!!
Wait…what?!?
Speaking of the whole caboodle, that’s what I LOVE about the Spellbinders monthly club. You get to decide each month which components you want, choosing from different die sets (3), stamp set & dies, embossing folders (2), hot foiling dies, stencils, Betterpress stamps & wax melt stamps. If you want it ALL, it’s called the “Caboodle” and comes with a free gift and is the best deal, at $120 with free shipping. Club members also get discounts on other Spellbinder purchases, WIN, WIN!!
I only purchase the Caboodle if I love everything in it, otherwise, I just choose the parts I want.
I love the summer season, hot weather and everything tropical. Bright colors make me happiest and a daily dose of crafting lifts my mood and relaxes my mind. Can you relate? I hope you find joy through the creative process too! I’d love to hear about your recent projects and which products you’re loving, as there are SO many out there.
Until next time,
~Krista

Your card is very cute and festive ! The stitching on the card would be a relaxing and fun way while watching TV or on a camping trip like you did.
Awesome.
Glad you like it, Joan! Stitching dies are indeed a great way to relax!
